Emergency Rudder Post Fiberglass Cracking
When we bought ARGO, it had some cracks in the fiberglass/gelcoat in the cockpit on the vertical bulkhead immediately next to the emergency rudder post stock mounting access. We had it fixed, then, this past winter, it happened again.
I suspect that it has something to do with the fitting or emergency stock contracting in the sub-freezing temperatures, but am unsure.
Does anyone have the same problem and can offer any solutions so I'm not having it fixed every year?
And don't say move south.
