My pump went out last week while cruising. Could not start the engine. At first I thought it was clogged filters (engine stopped while charging the batteries in large waves), but after changing both filters and ruling out several other things, realized the fuel pump was not really working. A kind soul sold me his spare (a larger pump than my broken one) and it ran great for 20+ hours of motoring up the ICW home.
Does anyone think the upgrade to a larger pump may be a bad idea?
