Brian, Sorry we will not be in the same class. I have a laminate main that keeps me out of your class and will keep us out of a trophy. We are in a light cruser class the heavest boat is 10,000 ours is entered at 18,000 Lbs. See you at Port A. Doug Gririth PSC7 #249 Kindred Spirit

You can still win the Pacific Seacraft trophy! I will look for you in Port A. I am staying at Island Moorings #533.

They did change the classes so all of us Pacificseacrafts as well as other cutters are in the classic cutter division. Your rating favors your 34. Good luck to you. We will be at City Marina. Doug Griffith PSC37 #249 Kindred Spirit

Brian, Congrats for smoking our butts. Your rig and sail choice served you well. My rig tuning is suspect as my points of sail differ port to starboard. who tuned your rig last? I have Don Kohlmans tuning instructions but My tuner is more of a racer than a crusier. I feel it is time to replace my standing rigging after 20 years. Think I'll use the factory for the job, they need the business more than our local riggers. Doug

Bummer! I didn't know you were doing the Harvest Moon RD. I was crewing on Rhapsody PSC37 #149. Looks like you were right on our butt! And we were at Island Moorings too. My wife said you came over to the boat, just did not know it was you. Good race, huh?

My boat had all new standing rigging installed just before I bought it. I assume that work was done in Corpus Christi. No idea who did it. I have not tuned since then (I bought it 18 months ago).

Your boat is beautiful. You should post pictures, especially of your stern rail seats. They are gorgeous. They almost caused a mutiny on my boat when my crew saw them. Who made them? I imagine many other owners would be very interested in seeing them.

I put an offer on the boat that is now Rhapsody! He beat me by an hour. He got an unbelievably sweet deal on that boat. I still kick myself about that one.

Have you found a listing of finish times? I cannot find one. It is lame they do not post times in the results. I want to see all 200+ boats listed from 1 to N on true and corrected times.

You could not ask for better conditions for our boats. It was a pretty sweet ride. It was fun blowing by the supposedly faster boats. I passed two J boats and a few 40+ footers during the night.

Looking at the buoy data, it looks like the winds were 25-30. I cannot find any wave data. I am guessing 6-8 feet with a period of about 6 seconds. Would love to see the data, but have had no luck finding it.

Hey Brian,

The HMR site kinda sucks! Click on view with divisions, go to the division, and on the top blue line, click on the 1 to the right of yacht club. It will then give you et's and corrected time. Hope this helps. Regatta - Race 1 Results, Regatta Network

Yep, James got a smokin deal on Rhapsody. No doubt the conditions favored this kind of boat. Yeah, was cool beating those "supposedly" race boats! We had no idea you were so close to us. The laptop took two headers and quit working. I fortunately had put the marks in my handheld, and we made the #6 without a tack. Had we missed it, you would have won.

I found this for Freeport on the 22nd. Looks like you are about right.
