Both are beauties! Perhaps the question to answer is......2 sticks or 1?

Jingle bells- jingle bells and what did Santa bring you? A good as new older Crealock 37 ,you must have been avery good little boy.Seriously Good Luck with your hunt and I sort of envy the excitement of shopping for your new boat. Its been 16 years since I shopped for mine and I never regretted the choice we made a Crealock 37.

What is the difference in upwind performance between the shoal scheel keel and the deep draft?

What do you think of a 28 HP Volv on a C 37?
From what our broker told me, Bill Crealock had sailed them both and came to the conclusion that they point almost exactly the same, but the Scheel Keel slips just a little more leeward, a short tack or so. He also had done the righting moments, and if I remember correctly, the Scheel Keel had a slightly larger righting moment than the regular keel. This is due to while being less deep, the lead is concentrated proportionately lower to develop the shape, and results in just a little more moment. But in general, they were small differences.
