Pacific Seacraft 37 curtain?

We are thinking about a curtain to provide some privacy for guests in the v-berth. Anyone out there done this? Material used, how did you attach it?

We added a curtain for the forward cabin space on our '37 and it works well when some privacy is needed. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos handy, but it's pretty simple. The curtain rod is a piece of 1/4" brass rod that goes into small teak blocks; one attached to the compression post, one on the port bulkhead so that it spans the doorway. We made the curtain from the same fabric pattern we used for our port covers, and stitched small plastic rings (from fabric store) at intervals along the top edge to slide on the brass rod. When not in use some small ties, also of the same fabric, hold the curtain furled along the compression post.

We also added a curtain, more for keeping the main cabin warm on cold Maine evenings. Being tired of putting holes in our dear boat I just used a piece of Pine approx 5/16 X 1" X just a tad longer than the opening from the compression post to the framing piece on the opposite side. With this as our "curtain rod" through a lovely old piece of velvet, we just bowed it into the arch of the overhead and it sprung enough to hold said curtain even with frequent comings and goings from the vee berth. It worked well but being in the Bahamas more than Maine, it was rarely used and has since decided to stay home.
