Hatch in the head is a great idea. Only place on the boat that mildews, even though she's swinging to a mooring full time.

When ever possible I do keep the head door open. Air can circulate between the dorades. No mildew here.

Got the bomar series 100 hatches ( 19 x7/16 x 19 x7/16) on sale at Fisheries Supply for 900 each they only had silver, I thought it would be anodized aluminium, but they are painted silver metallic. I can live with it.
