Anyone with Manson Supreme?

We carry a Manson supreme 45 and a 30+ Bruce on our older C37. The Manson will tap on the bow, and does want to foul a bit with the Bruce. We LOVE the Manson and since we are doing some repairs to that region, we are planning some modifications. As stated, our boat is older and is pre Pacific Seacraft, so the anchor assembly may have changed.

Re: Anyone with Manson Supreme?

Thought I'd add more pics of a 45lb Manson on a 34 PSC on our blog, shows the second anchor roller slot.

Originally bought as part of the running backstay. We have a coated wire that runs from the mast to a few feet above deck level. The block and tackle is attached to this and to the padeye on deck. The block and tackle is used to tension the backstay. I have never yet felt the need to rig the runners since I have never seen the slightest hint of mast movement.

I also use this as a preventer. I run it from the middle of the boom to the cleat on the rail and attach it with a webbing loop. It is not really ideal for this, but since we already have it on the boat we have not yet rigged a better solution and it works fine.

Finally it will be used to recover a MOB if ever needed. Run from the middle of the boom it puts this right at the lifeline gate. We could use it to help pull someone up to the gate to get them back onboard.
