Cool Passport Owners Group -Ridiculous

I tried to join the Passport Owners group (the new Google Group) a while back. Sent several requests to the moderator but never got a reply. I can view and seem to get the digests but I can't post to the group because the moderator is MIA.
I heard another Passport owner tried also and IT TOOK ONE YEAR! before he got a reply to enter the group. WTF?

Since I cannot contact anyone of my fellow Passport owners I'm hoping someone in the group might see my post here. Maybe they could somehow contact someone in charge? I'd be happy to host the entire group on a new owners group forum. I for one have a lot of info to share.

Regardless, the moderator of record for that group has hijacked the group and through laziness has made it irrelevant by never ever doing his duty. I'm kinda pissed. I may try and start a new group with an open architecture and several "intelligent" moderators.

Re: Passport Owners Group -Ridiculous

Isn't intelligent Passport owners an oxymoron?

(I'm kidding!!!!)

I can understand your frustration. There's an Allmand owner's group in Google and I hate it. The people are fine, but the UI is horrible, and there is very little traffic, in part, I suspect, because it isn't easy to use. I've been tempted to set up another group somewhere else and see if anyone else will follow or, if as is the case in much of my "non-virtual" life, much of the time, I'd just be talking to myself.
