P30 settee compartment drains?

I get water in the compartments under both of my settees when I sail. I'm working on solving the problem, but it would sure be nice if these drained into the bilge so I wouldn't have to keep bailing them out.

Anyone drill holes to allow them to drain? It's pretty close to the hull, so I'm a little nervous about it.

I have the same situation with water getting into those lockers. I bet it only happens when you dip the rail in the water, huh?

Time to pull the rub rail and seal the deck/hull joint with BoatLife Life Seal or 3M 4200 or 4000UV.

Ha. I don't think the hull/deck joint is leaking. what happens is bilge water runs up the side of the hull when you're heeled way over and that is what is getting your lockers wet.

On the port side, the source is the head intake seacock. It leaks when it's open. Going to overhaul or replace it this winter.

The starboard side is totally baffling. I don't think it's the hull-deck joint, because nothing on the shelf above or in the seatback compartments gets wet. Water only gets into the compartment under the seat. And it's a lot - like a couple of gallons or more. I don't see any way for bilge water to get up there.
