Pearson 28-2 info please

I am considering a 1987 Pearson 28. I can find the standard equipment list that came in the brochure for the new boats. I can't find any statement about the sails. Can anyone tell me if it had a geny and if so what size. Any other comments about the 28-2 would be appreciated.

There is an excellent review of the 28-2 in the Sept/Oct 2005 issue of Good Old Boat. I had considered buying one myself before I found my current boat. According to the article, it runs a 100% jib for the headsail. To quote from the article, "In today's marketplace, the Pearson 28-2 is tough to beat for cruising comfort, performance, and value."

Regards,

I suggest asking your questions on the Pearson email list here on Sailnet. You'll probably get a better response.

FYI -- While I don't know about the P-28-2 in particular, Pearson usually supplied 135 jibs for most of its boats in the mid-late '80's.
