Thanks for all the help you guys have been giving me.
One other thing I'd like to do while the P30 is on the hard is install a solar vent in the head. Obviously, I'm nervous about cutting a 4" hole in the cabin roof. I want to make sure I understand what I'm up against.
There is a hard headliner in my boat (I get the idea that some P30s had a soft headliner). It's a late model - '78. Once I cut through the roof, I assume there will be some airspace and then the headliner. I'm wondering what the best way is to cut the headliner. Also, will the Nicro 2000 series vent (or it's deck plate) reach all the way to the headliner, or will it look sloppy?
My plan is to put it right in the center of the celing in the head. If it looks too complicated, I might opt to install it in the forward
hatch glass instead.
I'd also like to install a couple of cabin-top
winches at some point, and wonder about blocking with the headliner there.
Thanks-
Eric
