Hi Rob - I'm not sure of the yacht club - Crazy name so that may be it. I bought it at Spicers marina but was on the hard at the yacht club when I looked at it.

Fair winds/calm seas,
Chuck

That's it. Bottom paint being slowly removed by careful groundings; use single burner butane stove; folding prop removed and replaced with fixed 3 blade for motoring up the Hudson.

Rebuilding the Volvo MD11C; Leading all lines aft to cockpit; added shorepower. Lots more upgrades to do.

Chuck, that 323 is a museum piece! Very little done to it over the years, absolutely pristine condition. I looked at all the 323's available within a day's drive last spring, and that was by far in the best condition. I would have bought it, but my wife wanted an oven. We got one with an oven, which she hasn't used yet. I have the same diesel, would love to know what you're doing with it. Other than the standard maintenance I'm going to replace the injectors 'cause it's a little smoky. I may pull the heads, but I won't be happy about it. Also, if you take any photos of the lines led aft I'd love to see them.

Rob

Cool P323 #310

I purchased my 323 in 1988 #310. Currently located near Bath, NC near the ICW and Pamlico Sound. Have found this boat to be perfect for our kind of sailing and certainly able to handle the notorious winds on the Sound and the Neuse. She heels quickly but then a comfortable ride and tracks well and we maintain excellent momentum in steep conditions. Boat was lightly used when I bought her and had all the optional equipment. We have discussed larger(and smaller) boats over the years but always come back to the pluses associated with this boat.

Whitenoise, you've been sailing your 323 for 20 years? Wow. I'd love to hear some sailing tips.

We sail Dragonfly, hull #316, out of Washington NC. We have had her 3 years, sailing on the Pamlico, Pungo, and Neuse Rivers, and the Pamlico Sound. Great boat for the choppy waters around here. Hope to run into (not literally) you Bath folks one day. There's a decent looking 323 at Sam's yard, and a scruffy one on the hard at McCotter's in Broad Creek.
We plan to sail to the Bahamas in the next year or two. I would like to take her to Bermuda, but the Mate is not so sure.

Pearson net

Hi,

We just purchased Pearson 323 hull #270. We keep it on the West River, south of Annapolis. I have lots of questions. How do I join the Pearson e mail list?

At Sailnet home; click on resources, click on e-mail lists, scroll down to Pearson, click on subscribe.

Good luck with your 323. See you on the Pearson forum.

Pearson 323

My wife and I purchased Hull #270 from a broker in Rock Hall, MD in December. We'll keep Fortunata on the West River, below Annapolis. We're really looking forward to the season. Not having owned a boat for twenty years, I'll have lots of questions.
