Re: what happened to pearsoninfo.net???

Hi Dan! We're looking at a 1986 Pearson 33-2, and I saw you had posted at one point photos of a Pearson in production in Rhode Island. I would love to learn / see more! Do you have any of the information archived?

Re: what happened to pearsoninfo.net???

I realize that this is an old thread.

That was a very useful site and after 7 years looks like it may not be back.

The Wayback Machine link no longer works either. The message is:

"Page cannot be displayed due to robots.txt."

Not sure what that means or if it can be corrected.

Anyone know what it might cost to host that site aside from the expense of the domain name?

Robot.txt is a file that does not allow bots (like Google etc) to show information or index the page.

Its introduced on purpose by the website owner. I.e. the owner doesn't want you seeing the site anymore.

In this case do you mean the original web site owner not the Wayback Machine site?

Yes, the original website owner.

Or whoever owns the website now may run one.

I can't check this site as I am on the dumfone, not the big computer.

Re: what happened to pearsoninfo.net???

I sent Dan an email. It didn't bounce back so I guess his address is still good.

Haven't had a reply yet.

Trying to calculate what it would cost to fund that site.

Re: what happened to pearsoninfo.net???

I found the Pearsoninfo.net site invaluable when I was boat shopping. The information was well organized and comprehensive on most (every?) model of boat that Pearson produced. It also had a fascinating history of the Pearson Yacht company and the people behind it.

This is long overdue, but THANKS DAN!
