removing salon/dining table

I want to refinish the salon/dining table on my Pearson 323 but do not want to do it in the boat. Does anyone have an idea how to remove it? I am assuming I need to remove both top and bottom pole attachments at the same time since there is no leeway in room to remove one and then pull out from the other. Any ideas?
