pearson 34 centerboard location

have purchased a 1983 p34. however the boat is missing the centerboard. plan on fabricating a new board. however I cant seem to locate where the pin that supports the board should be located.

the boat is on the hard so I have been able to look up into the trunk but no sighn of where the pin should be located. obviously the pin is missing . just in need of location of where to install a new one

can anyone help me with locating the area where the pin should be??
