Ice box hydraulics
 

Okay, it's a new boat to me. The Pearson ice box opens with a hydraulic cylinder. It worked well until I left the boat for a few weeks with the ice box open. When I returned, the hydraulic opener wouldn't release to allow me to close the ice box. It appears to have "frozen" or it's owner's brain is "frozen". any thoughts?
