Will that persuade some Hillary supporters to switch sides? With McCain's age and health being made an issue, this gal has a good shot at being the first female president. Wonder who would win in a mud wrestling contest between Palin and Pelosi?

As I said earlier in the thread, I think she's a great choice.
3 years younger than Obama, but yet, as a mayor and governor, more leadership experience. So they can't attack from that side, without highlighting Obama's lack of experience.
Mother of 5, with her oldest being deployed to Iraq.
Fiscal conservative, with a reform record as mayor and governor. Not associated with the Young/Stevens/Murkowski set in AK.
Pro-life, and as she says, a hockey mom.
All in all, I think she will add a lot more to McCain, than Biden did to Obama. And with all the rancor about treating Hillary unfairly, it will be hard to target her. Plus, it gives all the disaffected Hillary voters someone to vote for.
The candidate who talks of change, picked one of the ultimate insiders, while McCains goes outside the box and picks someone fresh and outside the usual DC cast of characters (and no, that isn't DC Comics, though I sometimes wonder).

erps - Palin has worked in commercial fishing in AK. I don't think it would be any contest.

Good Choice
Great strategy---another rich white guy was not going to cut it. She sounds like a great lady.

Ancillary to the pick itself, it shows that the oft maligned McCain campaign isn't quite as clueless as many want to think.

Palin just nailed it on her acceptance speech. If she keeps it up, and remains true to what she has done, as well as said, I can easily see her as the first female President of the USA.

I'd like to see that, so long as Nancy kept her knickers on. Palin's a little sex bomb.

I find it interesting that the Obama camps response to Palin is that she has no experience and is a heartbeat away from the Pres.?????
