I personally feel it is just a matter of time before a WMD is used. Maybe it is against our country, maybe Israel, or India and Pakisatn shoot it out... I don't know. I feel the effects of it will be worse than the weapon itself. I am not saying someone is going to detonate a nuke tomorrow, or the next day. It may or may not even come in my lifetime (though I think it will). But when it comes, the "fall-out" will be catastrophic... and I do not mean the nuclear fallout.

Scarry times we live in. Since the dawn of man, this is the first time Man has ever had the ability to destroy the planet (and most if not all life). A hundred years ago, such a statement would have been deemed a joke and shunned as Science Fiction. TOday, it is a grim reality. And ask yourself if we, as a race (whether Muslim or CHristian or atheist or whatever), have trully matured enough to posses that level of responsibility?? What has changed in the last 80 years that did not change in the last two millenium?

Thought this was "cute":
Subject: What is globalization

Question: What is the truest definition of Globalization?

Answer: Princess Diana's death.

Question: How come?

Answer:

An English princess with

an Egyptian boyfriend

crashes in a French

tunnel, driving a

German car

with a Dutch engine,

driven by a Belgian

who was drunk

on Scottish whisky,

(check the bottle before you change the spelling),

followed closely by

Italian Paparazzi,

on Japanese motorcycles;

treated by an American doctor, using

Brazilian medicines.

This is sent to you by

a Jamaican,

using Bill Gates's technology,

and you're probably reading this on your computer,

that uses Taiwanese

chips, and a

Korean monitor,

assembled by

Bangladeshi workers

in a Singapore plant,

transported by Indian

lorry-drivers,

hijacked by Indonesians,

unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen,

and trucked to you by Mexican illegals.....

That, my friends, is Globalization

Nah, that's just capitalism, same as it ever was. Neat illustration though.

Having watched a bit of the candidate debates I'd have to say that none of them inspire me be they Dem or Rep. I can't think of a Presidential election where the list of candidates was so uninspiring. Carter v Ford maybe ?

Hilary scares the crap out of me, Obama's lack of experience seems to be telling and the Reps are all blancmange. I know most of you will throw up at the thought but I reckon if Gore ran he'd be a shoe in for the Dems. (not for President just as Dem candidate).

Ignoring your political leanings for the moment who do you favour on each side as the candidates ?

Ron Paul, he upholds The Constitution, not wipe his ass with it like 99.2% of politicians do today.

Definetly not Ghouliani, he' a complete scumbag.

Definetly not Shillary. If you like her, you might as well admit the fact that you prefer to live in an empire, seeing as the country will be controlled by the same two families for 28yrs. straight (provided she does 2 terms)

Definetly not Obama, he has NO RECORD yet, you might as well elect the town treasurer of SmallTown USA, being that he or she probably has more time in the political ring that Obama.

I saw Paul interviewed on the Cobert Report a few weeks back. While I know very little about the man or his policies he was pretty impressive. Certainly more so than McCain.
