The class of voters I was speaking about... they don't read the news, and they don't watch the news. They still think the Bush administration is doing a bang up job. They have no idea what naked short selling is. They heard the stock market is crashing because someone mentioned it to them. They think the Democrats exported their jobs to China, because their bartender told them it's so. They still believe Iraq blew up the World Trade center and killed 3000 people. They still believe Iraq had a nuclear bomb and was going to bomb us. And they still believe that a black man will never be President.

Without these folks, Bush would have never been elected in the first place.

Financial genius and sociological expert as well. Dang Rick, you're one smart dude. But then, anybody that supports an empty suit with a bunch of promises that don't match his limited record, would have to be smart.

Oh, and by the way, thanks for proving Sway's point so well.

Why is it manipulation to ensure that a voter is properly registered? How does that disenfranchise anyone, or stop them from voting?

Although I'm trying to avoid this conversation, I would like to point out that GWB did start with the HIGHEST SURPLUSES in American history and somehow has managed to end up with the HIGHEST DEFICITS in American history, with one of the worst economic disasters in the making on his watch.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

And who approved the budgets? The democratically controlled congress. And there you have it.

So the answer to our problems is to elect a lawyer, to fix our economic system. One who has little to no experience with meeting a budget, but has lots and lots of plans for spending more of your money.

The good news is, Congress will go ahead and adjourn the 26th, without doing anything about the current situation other than investigate who is at fault.

At a time when we need our elected officials to be working together for solutions, instead we get partisan politics. Only one candidate has a record, rather than rhetoric, of trying to work with all members of Congress to solve problems. Only one has stood up against his own party to do what he believes is right for the people. And though I have my problems with some of McCain's views, his record demonstrates he is working for the people, not himself.

" 'I want you to argue with them and get in their face,' he said." Barack Obama to his supporters.

The words of the man who claims he is a uniter, who wants to bring people together.

I missed this completely. Please point out the error of my ways.

As for Obama, my point seems to have gone over your head. I'm saying he's unelectable. It's a shame, as we need this change badly. Look where 8 years of Republican rule have got us.

It is time for a change but once again the Democratic party has managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Ummm, how can you say that a guy who voted with the President more than 90% of the time "stood up against his own party"? Talk about spin...

And that's the problem with his record as well. The only way this guy is a "Maverick" is in his own mind.

Shhhh...... you're not supposed to mention that. Why that's unpatriotic. Almost (dare I say it) communist talk. Oh, you're safe being a Canadian... right?

Of course anyone who points out that he ran up another $5 trillion in debt will just be called a lunatic and committed.

While we're at it, please don't mention that Bush attacks the wrong country. Heck, if you lived here the'd send the dept of Homeland Security to come have a talk with you.

Republicans get very angry when we deal with their "Record". Heck, don't ya know, we're supposed to pay attention to their promises.
