Well Mitch, taking into account their previous record on "uncovering" dirt on Palin, and since none of the major Alaska media have found it a worthy story, I'll give it a few days. Knowing Alaska, I won't be surprised to find that many of these so called gifts are to the office of the governor, rather than the person of the governor, and are not considered her personal property.
But, rather than just jump right in to the latest mud slinging attempt, I'll wait a day or two. After all, if it is a scandal, it would be the first time they've been right so far.

Palin's recent interview was terrible, they should keep her away from reporters. I don't know why McCain's campaign even put her in front of reporters for an actual interview, because they had to know that the press is going to be hard on her. Why risk it ? Let the woman be enigmatic and mysterious, that works too. I think she did terrible in the interviews she has done recently, not because she doesn't have something to say, but because she's obviously having a confidence problem with the media, no doubt she knows they are going to be all over her when they get the chance. As soon as they get on her she starts getting shakey and a little defensive. She's definitely not the media darling that Obama was, she's just going to have to get used to it, that's just how it is for Republicans and they have to deal with stuff like that. I actually think she's starting to get a little bit of sympathy at this point, people are really bored with hearing the myriad ways she's going to destroy the world, it was silly to start with and now it's become irritating to listen to. I like her, but she's really been putting her foot in her mouth a lot the past few days.

Since when was it the Presidents job to deliver votes?
I thought it was a politicians job to ensure the legislation was good and accurate, not just deliver votes.
"We hope to reach a bipartisan consensus in time for this afternoon's meeting at the White House, so Sen. McCain and President Bush can finally get to work on the job they've neglected thus far: delivering Republican votes," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.
The problem, and why there is a delay etc.. is that the Dem's don't want to pass a bill that has only their name on it - why you ask?
Because they know it's a f'd up piece of paper, and they want to be able to say they Rep's made them do it.
Well windy, Biden is a hard guy to keep up with. In the past couple of weeks he's rewritten Catholic theological teachings, revised history (giving FDR an extra term prior to being elected), recreating the dawn of Television, renouncing his own campaign for attack ads and admitting Hillary would have been a better VP choice. Joe sets the bar high.

Yeah no doubt about it, he's been making some whoppers too. I don't really like Biden that much, but I don't have a good reason for it. I like Evan Bayh a lot more, Obama should have picked him.

He couldn't pick someone like Bayh, because he had to prop up his cred on foreign policy.

"KMOV aired a story last night, that stated that St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch and St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, both Obama supporters, are threatening to bring criminal libel charges against anyone who levels what turns out to be false criticisms of their chosen candidate for President."

Can you make a false criticism about Obama?
Okay, I'm not 'truly' independent' - I lean republican; but seriously, are there any false criticism's on floating around?
