Hawg...a good question and here's a straight answer.
1. I KNOW Obama is not fit to be President on 1/21/2009
2. I KNOW Palin won't be either...but only due to experience...not underlying beliefs, judgement or temperment.
3. I think McCain will serve out his first term AND build Palin's experience AND build a sound team of advisers.
4. I KNOW that if it were a choice between Obama and Palin TODAY...I'd still rather have Palin in place and trust her gut instincts than have Obamas plans and programs implemented along with his Supreme Court choices.

I don't think it is unpatriotic to be in favor of any of the candidates.

As for me, I dont think she is qualified to be president because she comes off to me as a complete airhead who is able to memorize a short list of answers but unable even to improvise if something is asked for which she doesnt have a prepared ******. There were quite a few questions she didnt even answer in her debate. I believe its because she couldnt.

Any of the others have the basic awareness that is needed though of course I dont like McCain much at all.

Hog,
What do George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and Ronald Reagan have in common?

I'd be interested in what qualities you look for in an individual that make them fit to be president. I've got a list of my own but I'm interested in what is on your list.

How does a guy write two autobiographies by age 45, and yet no one can name any significant accomplishment he has achieved?

How is it, that everyone Obama has been associated with he has either denounced their beliefs, their actions, and/or thrown them under the bus?

How come ACORN, for whom Obama was an organizer and trainer, is under investigation for massive voter fraud?

Associations DO matter. To claim they amount to some kind of smear, only shows how unhealthy those associations were.

Well since Palin is now running for VP, upsetting the playing field. - suddenly there is even more action in the world as we know it. And I wonder if these ladies were polled - which direction would their votes take us? Personally - if they happen to be on tv on election night. I know where my rabbit ears will be tuned.

More political fall-out and smackdowns after this short commercial break:

While we're polling ladies, I want to know what the Bayou City Bosse$ roller derby team thinks. I'm sure they were affected by hurricane Katrina.

(I adore roller derby girls)

I seem to recall that before 9/11 the press took great glee in almost daily quoting Bush's misspeaks. After 9-11 he needed to look more presidential, and they backed off. Look it up ....

ACORN is under investigation because the Republican Attorney General realized that if they succeed in getting low income people registered to vote it might mean the Dems win.

Edit - It seems the Attny Gen is a Dem but that the FBI is the one pushing for the raids/investigations.

It is also relevant that ALL of the voter fraud cases cited in the investigation WERE ALREADY FLAGGED BY ACORN ITSELF AND PRESENTED TO THE ELECTIONS COMMISSION AS POSSIBLE FRAUDS

Hard to say they are evil when 46 cases out of 80,000 were bogus and they pointed it out themselves to the authorities. Besides, do you REALLY think that the applications with the names of the Dallas Cowboys on them meant that the Cowboys were actually going to cast a vote in Las Vegas?
