We fell asleep and already have the govt we deserve

we already have the Govt we deserve...if we wake up and look at what's going on..and what each candidate says and how he says it we should be able to realize that Obama is the guy to put in the WH...at least he is the most rationale bet if you are poor or middle class and you like a planet that is not choking on oil and coal fumes...and you like having habeus corpus....If you are rich and dont really give a crap about much else then vote for Mccain of course...that is really things in a nutshell for anyone who still hasnt arrived into one of the two camps of thinking..

Havent really been following the threads much...so I dunno what you were thinking...lol...just felt like writing and chose this thread because it's the one I used last time to complain about things and morons and my general apprehension at what the people in control of most of the power and resources are doing to the rest of us...

Short and well thought out article that happens to be 100% accurate.

It occurs to me that many people today try to put the best face they can on government, it's programs, and capabilities. The Founders were not so disillusioned. They knew that government itself was the greatest potential enemy of the people...and that, from people who were the government when they wrote such things. Now there were some honest politicians!

erps and sway

actually, health care IS a right in the USA. If you go to an emergency room they cant legally turn you away, or so I thought. That sounds like a right to me.

What you seem to be against is having health insurance as a right. That ISNT the case now, which means when you go to the emergency room and they have to treat you then the cost is simply spread out over all the people who DO have insurance.

bottom line - you do have the right to be treated if they cant turn you away. What we leave vague is how it gets paid for.

Read the above cited article, sck5, and get back to us on the matter of "rights". It's short enough for you to read in under a minute.

Your logic on us already having a "right" to health care is flawed in that you cannot present your self to the emergency room as being bereft of resources while not paying anything out of what you do have.

ACORN is in trouble here in Washington State too. One of the ACORN workers said:

Quote:
One defendant "said it was hard work making up all those cards," and another "said he would often sit at home, smoke marijuana and fill out cards," according to a probable-cause statement written by King County sheriff's Detective Christopher Johnson.
