Now hang on a minute you guys, we all know it's only Republicans that pull dirty tricks, so obviously, ACORN is blameless since it's bi-partisan efforts only help Democrats

Why we don't want Obama and the Dems running this country

Body count:

In the last six months:

292 killed (murdered) in Chicago
221 killed in Chicago;
*
Iraq .

Who Runs it:
Senators: Barack Obama & Dick Durbin

Rep: Jesse Jackson Jr.,

Illinois Gov: Rod Blogojevich,

Illinois
House leader Mike Madigan,

Illinois Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike),

Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)

.....our leadership in Illinois.....all Democrats.

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago

Of course, they're all blaming each other!

Can't blame Republicans; they're aren't any!

State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.

Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look 'em up if you want).

Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he's gonna 'fix' Washington politics for us?

Rights in America are established in the Bill of Rights, part of the constitution.

In 1998 Clinton signed an Executive Order establishing a "Patients Bill of Rights" which is essentially the same as what several medical organizations had already operated under as their own code of ethics.
The EO entitles (not a right, an entitlement) an injured person to be stabilized at an emergency health facility (not necessarily the one he/she presents themselves to) Emergency Rooms can in fact turn you away if they do not participate in medicare or are private.

The entitlements under the Executive Order is also extended to non-citizens - which is why of course it is by definition not a right. Non-citizens have no rights in this country.

That, my friends is far from a 'right to health care'. It's an entitlement to a band-aid, paid for by Medicare. Health care means total, end to end access to medical treatment or services.
Health insurance is a product you buy or is bought for you that covers your costs (in whole or part) for medical treatment and services.

Let's get it right. Not only does Obama and the Dem's want to extend entitlements beyond the 60% of our budget it already is, they want to make it a right, not an entitlement. Doing so will take a constitutional amendment which just isn't going to happen.

'zacly,

except:

I've heard it explained that the bill of rights doesn't grant or establish our rights, but it specifically preserves or recognizes rights we already had. Does that sound right? Seems like Obama, a constitutional scholar, should have known that.

The Constitution says that our unalienable rights are endowed upon us by the Creator. The Constitution is a document that, after describing the structure of the American government, spends the majority of it's space describing what the government is not allowed to do to you, the citizen. It's authors had no high opinion of governments of any sort.

I agree with the founding fathers, rights are inherent and derived from nature. Even animals seek to defend themselves, to be satisfied and happy, to be social, to mate, to protect their homes, and protect their young. The founding fathers were just writing down the obvious. It takes human beings to deny those rights, and to lose them, because animals would never willingly give those rights up, only human beings can be "reasoned with".

I'm going to say it again.
over 16,000 births at Dallas Parkland hospital, over 12,000 to ILLEGAL ALIENS. Some second and third generation.

Every one paid for by the federal gov't. Oops, sorry... paid for by you and I.

Why I am pessimistic.
Behind McCain’s Fall « The State of the Union

It's not particularly rational but it's real and, more importantly, it fits with past events and their results. The only good news is that now the government is really broke.
