So do I but certain precautions must be taken. I'm unwilling to risk lasting harm to my affection for Belgian Waffles by the sight of Rick operating the floor buffer at Waffle House. (g)

An unusually interesting piece from the Obama Network, otherwise known as MSNBC, can be found here: Smart Girl Politics: One Reason Why Sarah Palin Can Draw A Crowd of 20,0000

Thanks for that link, John.

I'm curious as to how exactly those among us have decided that Palin is not qualified to become president. It seems I missed the memo on the official prerequisites to the presidency. Obviously she is more qualified than Joe Biden whom the Democrat party rejected as it's presidential nominee in both 1988 and 2008. But rejection is not absence of qualifications I hear someone saying. Well. Just what are the qualifications anyway? We've had drunks, maniacs, engineers, and some otherwise questionable presidents. Yet the Union has survived.

In fact, the whole history of the American experiment points us in exactly the opposite direction we seem to be focused. The only real constant is that we have exactly no idea what circumstances and events will take place in the next four years. And it those circumstances and events that will make our choice this November a great president, a lousy president, or just another mediocrity.

You're interviewing someone for a relatively powerless job (as compared to the Congress.) the qualifications for which you'll know nothing about until history occurs. Fortunately, the Founders in their wisdom made sure that no president can do so much as to be undo-able. Some of remember James Earl Carter better than others.

There you go cam, trying to distort the "truth" by interjecting facts. Just like the temperature graph I posted a few pages ago, actual science has no place in a discussion about GW. Anecdotal evidence provided by a reporter who just saw Al Gore's "documentary" is all that is needed.

I will just leave you with the actual sea ice measurements. This year is the red line...last year was the yellow line and we are presently 27% higher we have also just passed the 2005 line. More later...

The rather amazing, to me, thing about the American electorate is how they can completely ignore the philosophy of a candidate, for vague promises that run counter to everything that philosophy espouses.

I especially enjoy the notion that, sick and tired of 8 years of GOP spending and growth of government, that even more of the same is the prescription for "change we can believe in".

Do you realize that it requires a higher level of competence to obtain a driver's license than a voter's registration card? Or, that a person can not be mature enough to smoke or drink, but somehow, are competent enough to vote? Heck, you don't even have to be a high school graduate to vote. In fact, you don't even have to have a physical existence to vote.

Smoking age is 18, not 21. Don't even have to be breathing to vote...at least in Chicago.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Seems the ACORN office in Boston was robbed of some PC's. Will be interesting to see if they catch the culprits. Somehow, I doubt they will.
