When I am skipper of the boat everything that happens on it is my responsibility.
It is the same with Presidents.
You guys have no problem holding Bill Clinton responsible for everything that happened during his presidency even though he certainly didnt have control of congress during that time. The same logic applies to Bush. He is captain of the ship at the moment (god help us) so he gets credit for what is good and what is bad.
In my opinon, not that anyone probably cares, I think we are pretty much screwed no matter witch one of them win. They seem like a munch of bull sh*ters to me, who knows what they will do once they get in office, they just seem to make up sh*t as they go along. All of them.

Actually SCK, if you've read my posts you know better. I lay accountability where it falls, usually a shared thing.
It's not a ship, it's government. It's not an apple, it's a orange.
To be fair, we'll allow 49 pages of conditions on Bush's 3 pages, that still leaves 400 pages of crap that had nothing to do with what Bush asked for. So who's Bill is it?

That's a true statement, but the problem is, this particular Capt has had deal with a mutiny on a ship full of hostle, agenda driven, little cabin boys ( that includes Pelosi ) who had the advantage of a even more hostle, agenda driven media, who was counting the times his body swam around the ship.
But I think the fair thing to do would be to place blame consistant with their approval rating, so I would place 9% of the blame on congress and 23% on Bush, the other 68% is our fault, we elected them

Seems to me that as long as these policies are working the democrats are happy to claim them as their own, but when they fail they become part of Bush's failed economic policy.
Actually, the reverse is happening in this thread. There's a democratic Congress, which conservatives are using to take Bush off the hook.
Guys, it isn't only me. Bush's approval ratings are now in the mid 20's. The poll question about the country heading in the right direction is now running 85% against Bush.
The country has decided who's fault this mess is by a 3 to one margin and have voiced the fact they want changed by a 7 to 1 margin. Yet you guys are typing in your own little world here that everything is someone elses's fault.
No wonder Obama is going to win this election. Republicans never got it. You can't fix something unless you admit it's broken.
