The GOP is finally running ads, in Michigan, tieing Obama to the Rev. Wright. I think McCain was foolish to ignore the connection himself.

I don't think the difference can be made any more clearly than this:
McCain has Joe the Plummer. Obama has Peggy Joseph. Interviewed after an Obama campaign event in Sarasota, Florida, Peggy emotionally summarized what it means to her for Barack Obama to be president: "It was the most memorable time of my life. It was a touching moment, because I never thought this day would happen. I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car. I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage. You know, if I, if I help him [Barack], he’s gonna help me!"
Joe wants to make a better life for himself. Seems all Peggy is interested in is someone to take care of her.

If Obama wins? Well, at least your fantasy is fading. As for the deficit? Deporable for sure, but still 1/2 the budget deficit we are facing next year under Republican control.
I'd call it a step in the right direction.

I love this. Chuckles says the Obama administration will run huge deficits, and you say he'll raise taxes. Nice job guys, as the new guy loses either way.
We are facing $53 trillion in entitlement shortfalls in addition to massive budgit deficits, which the Bush administration just kicked 'up the road'. This was the Republican version of "the buck stops here'.
The fact is, that no matter who is in the White House, spending has to decrease and revenue have to increase. The Bush years of cutting taxes for the rich, and setting records for deficit spending are over. It's time we get back to responsible government and this will happen regardless of who resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
As far as Congress is concerned, it's no wonder they can't count the number of seats that Republicans are about to lose, fast enough. Each day the count goes up.
Incidently, the last time a party took this kind of a beating in back to back elections was 1928 -32, (yeah..republicans) but it paled in comparison to what's about to happen this time around.
Can you spell L A N D S L I D E ???

Funny how things change when the shoe is on the other foot isnt it? In any event I fully expect the Repubs to continue their current strategy of filibustering every single thing that the Dems try to get through Congress. That is, unless they lose so big on Tue. they can be ignored altogether.

If the projections are correct, there are about to be a lot fewer Republicans around come January. So few in fact, that Pelosi and Reid will build a doghouse out back to house what's left of them and tell them not to bother showing up.
They are about to get what they so richly deserve. Oh, and Lieberman goes with 'em.

You speak of delusions, and then blame the deficits of the next budget on someone other than who wrote and passed it? Oh yeah, I forgot, you're not real up on the Constitution.

PB thinks that everything bad that happened in the last 8 years under Bush is the Dems fault. Also seems to think that everything bad that happened in the previous 8 years under Clinton is the Dems fault.
How is this possible? He's a Republican! He has a faith based belief that Dems have secret powers that enable them to bear responsibility for everything bad no matter who controls Congress or the white house. Even when the Repubs control BOTH it seems that everything bad is the Dems fault.
I sure wish we Dems were as all powerful as you seem to think! Maybe by Wednesday we WILL be!!!

Not only is that a mischaracterizating of anything I've said sck, it's a deliberate misstatement, in direct contradiction of many of my posts. To be expected though, from one who's candidate barely understands the concept of honesty, much less the practice of it.

We can stop arguing whom is going to be elected - it is already predicted:
"CAP NEWS - "Conventional wisdom picks Obama. Nostradamus, four and a half centuries ago, picked John McCain," said Dr. Hubert Evans, professor of Renaissance Studies at Yale University and author of the best-selling "Nostradamus: Prophesize This!"
"Quatrain 78, Century X in particular seems to indicate that Obama had better not be measuring the White House windows for curtains quite yet, at least by my interpretation," said Dr. Evans.
The quatrain to which Dr. Evans refers - Quatrain 78 - is located in the grouping of stanzas known as Century X. Originally published in 1555 in Nostradamus' still-popular Les Prophecies, Quatrain 78 reads in full:
At the war's end:
The Feeble Kept One will strike down the Night
And his Imbecile Queen will rise from the snow
Bedecked in finery and the pelt of a wolf."
