Hmmm....the Log Cabin Republicans might disagree with that.

I was going to make a joke centered on the word "head" but then again maybe not ......

1 a: of, relating to, or based on the liberal arts <liberal education> barchaic : of or befitting a man of free birth
2 a: marked by generosity : openhanded liberal giver> b: given or provided in a generous and openhanded way liberal meal> c: ample , full
3 obsolete : lacking moral restraint : licentious
4: not literal or strict : loose liberal translation>
5:
broad-minded ; especially : not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or traditional forms

I guess it depends on the definition du jour.

The second definition seems apt ..... if you add, "with other people's money".

Somehow, I don't find it reassuring that the One will be pragmatic in the extreme, if one is to believe the usual gaggle of pundits on the left. It smells too much like the end justify's the means.

Nor is the reassembly of the Clinton economic team something that inspires much hope. While they, arguably, performed well previously, that was a different time, with different circumstances. As well as a different political landscape. But unlike the usual Dem hope of failure, so as to capitalize on it politically, I hope they succeed beyond my expectations.

What will be interesting over the next couple of years is whether the GOP opposes on principle, or for, as the Dems taught them, for political gain.

Why the culture war is not over and the socially conservative Republicans still matter. Or, more accurately, why the Left does not want to continue to fight the culture war...where they usually lose...and what they plan to do about it. The sentence that got me was the use of the word 'culture' implies there is no absolute right or wrong. When is there ever absolute right or wrong? Never.

abortion: some pro, some con, some pro with caveats
economics: everyone all over the scale
politics: everyone all over the scale
murder: not supposed to do it, but we have war and death penalties
war: some pro, some con
etc. etc. etc.

I'm guessing that LGBT rights are rights for Lesbians, gays, bi-sexuals and Trans sexuals? What about the pedophiles? Seems like they are being discriminated against by the LGBT crowd.

They're only so inclusive.
