i might be wrong but i remember the april 08 date as 16 months from when he said it. he has been pretty consistent about that. I dont know what McCain would have done but I would be very surprised if Obama didnt have us mostly out by the time the mid term elections happen

No, I don't think Obama was directly involved, but I guess part of the change we get is no more anal exams of every little thing that goes on. Certainly a big change from the past.
