anybody who gets to sail in belize is rich as far as I am concerned. My bank account may not show it but I dont think the rich people I have met are any happier than I am.
But hey, if they are handing out relief I will do my patriotic duty and take it. I think a true patriot would spend it dont you? Hi def radar on my boat might help the economy dont you think? My wife wants me to get it because after sailing around in the chesapeake in fog she decided it would be good not only to know where WE are and the bridges and rocks, but also where the other boats are. Who am I to argue if Joe B. wants to pay for it?

Joe B paying for it? Not likely. How about us american tax payers paying for it, plus administrative costs, plus any money they give to people who already don't pay taxes. How about we just cut taxes instead? Wouldn't that make more sense?

Fundamentally, the problem with this thread is that we obviously have very different ideas about what patriotism is.
