You might be interested to know that the Feds DO have a role in issuing drivers licenses. There are federal standards for them -

FR Doc 08-140

In fact, I seem to recall the repubs agitating for stricter rules since they are worried about illegal immigrants getting them. I am not sure about that though.

You surprise me. We do have a Federally controlled and managed part of the USA. I'm referring to the District of Columbia. Which part of Article 4 would I find that in?

In any event, spare me your arguments, my point stands. Volumes have been written on what is not in the Constitution and an entire industry has sprung up around this very point. It has always been up to the Supreme Court to decide what the Constitution of the United States actually means.

Asking for a constitutional Convention is just fantasy. Attorneys run our government and clarity isn't in their best interest.

It is so like you to miss the central point of a point you can not refute. Conservatives are absolutely going to have withdrawal pains next year.

News Flash for Sailaway. We are not a Republic of 50 individual Governments. We are one Nation, under God.

I'll bet you were whistling Dixieland when you typed that. The war's over Sailaway21, the South lost and State rights were trumped by Federalism. It's all right there in your history books.

You never mentioned you grew up in South Carolina. Or is it that those who refuse to read their History are doomed to repeat it?

I've heard this so many times..It shows that people just don't get it. These issues don't even get to the Judiciary unless the legislature passed a law about 'it'. Without a law on the books there's nothing to interpret.

Actually, this probably ranks as xort's most intellectual post in this thread. However, it's still inaccurate.

Nice to see some things never change. May the New year bring Enlightenment

Bad at math as well I see.

You're very proud of incoherent sophomoric posts. Is this what happens to conservatives that are batting zero for 100? Or have your children figured out your computer's password?

Evidently Rick, your association with the Judicial system is as barren as it is with the Constitution. I'd suggest you review past court decisions that have resulted in judicial mandates, but then you'd be dealing with facts rather than suppositions.

Derision, is not a substitute for knowledge or facts. Even if it is your one area of proficiency.
