Is that true that the television series don't have new shows this year ?

Same here, though my % rate was not as high; The problem with Duncan Hunter is he is too conservative ever for the Republicans, so he hasn't gotten the airtime nor has he got the debate time because he hasn't met the media stds.

As it stands now - it has been reported that no new shows will be able to to be made until past this fall. Every week that passes, pushes it it all back even further...Talk shows are the only exception - as long as no content is actually written / scripted...

I didn't know that, interesting.

The only show I was remotely interested in was "Lost". I had never seen it and I went out and bought season 1 out of boredom one day and kind of got into it, so I ended up watching the 2nd and 3rd season too. I would not have watched season 4 on television anyway, but that means I will have to wait even longer for the dvd.

John McCain as seen by George Will

Mr. Will, after this column, need little be asked his opinion on John McCain. George indeed does, "tell us how you feel about him". By column's end, one is thoroughly assured that Mr. McCain is no conservative and probably not even a Republican. Mr. Will stops only short of a recommendation for summary execution. He does not have to make anything up because, McCain is just that loopy as the incidents Mr. Will describes make him out to be. Or, as Rush Limbaugh says, a maverick is a media term for a Republican who's really a Democrat. A conclusion Mr. Will manages to get around to his ownself.

How political correctness keeps Hillary and Barack

from telling us how they really feel.

This fabulously well written article describes the process of how modern day Democrats eat their young. Aside from the primary election issues, this is a vertible primer on the uses and excesses of political correctness. And for those with a less than pressing need to read on the subject, this article can literally be enjoyed for it's writing craftsmanship. This is how it's done, when it's done well.

Sway, based on the things you post about the Republican candidates it is difficult to understand who you might like as a Republican nominee. I know you don't like Huckabee, or Paul, or Giuliani, or now apparently McCain ... so it must be Romney ?

I gotta tell you, I'd vote for most of the other Republican candidates and at least two Democrat candidates before I'd ever get around to voting for Romney.

Sway is never in favour of anything, he'll only tell you who he doesn't like. (Hi Sway , you old reactionary you !!)

Ok then, for all you USAians, it's looking pretty much like Cain v Clinton although Obama is still in there with a chance. Wrong ? Right ?

Well...I think Sway and I both liked Fred but after last night...Fred is dead. Romney is probably the closest thing we have left to a real conservative but Giuliani would also be more acceptable to me than McCain. And Huck just scares me a bit despite his support for the fair tax.
Wombat...I do NOT believe it is NEARLY settled for either the dems or reps yet. Barack will most likely win South Carolina next week which will give him a lift but Hillary still looks better positioned to capture the most in super Tuesday..the presence of Edwards and his delegates, makes a convention where no one wins the first ballot a possibility...so he has some bargaining power as well.
On the Rep side...it is even more unclear and McCain has benefited from so many other candidates splitting the vote among more conservative republicans...I do not think he is the presumptive favorite but unless some repubs drop out of the race...he could take Florida and be on a roll for Super Tuesday. That said...I've been wrong about a LOT so far this election season!
