Ain't gonna happen Ray. That was the point of my previous post. Once the government establishes an entitlement for over half the people,it's set in stone. The whole point of creating entitlements, is to create dependency. The more dependency, the greater the need for more government.

bush tried to get the social security thing going. all he got was acusations of racism and pandering to wall street. not one counter proposal.
reps in the senate in 2005 tried to reign in fanny & freddie; again, they were called racist. Barnyfrank said there is absolutely nothing wrong with f & F and there will be NO bailout if there is.
Soon, half of the population will be paying NO taxes. Who do you think they will continue to vote for? Tax the rich guy...what rich guy? Say good buy to the goose. This is a house of cards that will collapse in about 10 to 20 years. Then we will get a Chavez type taking over. Conservative radio & TV are soon going to be silenced. Teachers unions are controlling the ciriculum, teaching junk science & sex instead of RRR. When health care is free you will no longer be able to afford it.
You think there's actually more than a handful of ELECTED people that are worried about that? No, they'll let the next guy worry about it. Then, when the money runs out, they have two choices. Cut the benefits, or simply cut the program.

I just finished watching the documentary Taxi to the Dark Side and have mixed reactions to it which I will not post. I would like to hear from others who watched the movie. I am in no way interested in hearing from those who did not watch the documentary but heard about it form some one else. Please be specific about what part you are reacting to. I would especially like to hear from those who served in the Armed Forces (because I didn't) and would like them to comment about the dedication at the end.

I read those today as well. The second article was scary. This paragraph really got my attention:
