The House has passed the Keep Dems in Power Act with no GOP votes and 7 Dems fleeing the plantation. At least Speaker Pelosi won't have to miss out on her trip to Rome ..... on the taxpayers dime.

you know i am glad this is working out the way it is, for the last 8 years and more they have been telling us how much better they could do it well fellas, here ya go screw it up so bad that it will be another 40 years before anyone takes you serious again please.........
only one thing it was the democrats thet forced the banks in the late 90's (98 i think to be exact) to loosen the lending requirements so that people without the capital or the ability to get said capital through a job or other means could have a house. all of a sudden we all had to have our own house, this kids is what happens when one person has too much power. So we have a ever inflating housing bubble and what the hell did the people think it would keep going up. What the hell did they think was going to happen.....hell i saw it comming as soon as it started.
anyway what i am NOT hearing is those regulations being tightend up. They want the credit market freed up, but I have heard nothing of thightening up the regulations surrounding the requirements of lending itself.
Am I right or have I missed something here?

I was speculating that the Republicans were just playing politics and really never had any intention of stopping this bill. They allowed a few in their party to vote for it, who wouldn't get dinged for it back home, then the rest of them stood strong against it for campaign purposes when it all goes south. That is pure speculation on my part. Am I getting jaded, or what?

Apparently the economy is too important to be left to the market.
