sck5-the point is if some one burns your house down while you aren't home, they have REALLY inconvienced you. But you still can't kill them. You are trying to say that there is some degree of inconvienence that justifies killing.

That's nothing.
Get a Lib REALLY upset by saying an abortion is a selfish act.
We have to find judgement-nuetral terms to discuss our ugly business you know!!

Boy do you guys ever take a comment and run with it. My point was, for those who are off somewhere imagining what I meant, was that an unwanted pregnancy is not merely an inconvenience to be easily fixed by an abortion. i know women who have had an abortion and they regarded it as the most difficult decision of their lives. That is way beyond "inconvenience". You can be on whatever side of the debate you like, but dont think you are being accurate when you pretend the other side belittles the importance of the issue. Calling a pregnancy an "inconvenience" does exactly that.

Rape, incest and health of mother account for 3% of abortions. Give me one reason for having an abortion for the other 97% that isn't inconvenience.
Another possible side effect of the abortion issue is the Catholic Church is seriously considering closing down the 645 Catholic hospitals nationwide if the Freedom of Choice Act (abortion as a fundamental right) passes, rather than comply with the mandates it carries.

In ancient Moab they would sacrifice their children by burning them to their god chemosh. Now they sacrifice them to obama. I wonder how many children were offered up on the liberal alter while I typed this message?

I imagine it's because they know that it's wrong, so there is some internal dialog to justify it. If a person had no moral compass, the decision would be easy. I'm pro-choice. I think everyone ought to have the choice on whether they will be dismembered or not. Giving others that choice, is not pro-choice.

How about difficult, awkward, unmanageable, cumbersome, unwieldy, or unhandy??

Since sck has painted himself into a corner, I'll change the subject
Quote:
Mr. Obama's $3.6 trillion budget blueprint, by his own admission, redefines the role of government in our economy and society. The budget more than doubles the national debt held by the public, adding more to the debt than all previous presidents -- from George Washington to George W. Bush -- combined. It reduces defense spending to a level not sustained since the dangerous days before World War II, while increasing nondefense spending (relative to GDP) to the highest level in U.S. history. And it would raise taxes to historically high levels (again, relative to GDP). And all of this before addressing the impending explosion in Social Security and Medicare costs. (Highlighted by me)

I don't think he's done with that yet, so the timer is still ticking.
8000+ earmarks in the stimulus plan, that's an accountable, responsible and new way to run D.C. if I ever heard one.
Half a mil of that is to refurbish the offices of congress, ain't that great.
Oh, and it includes pay raises and bonus for staffers of congress.
Think I'll go in to work on monday and vote myself a pay raise. I'll let you know how it turns out.
