Interesting article john. I have always taken exception to having laws imposed on me by the government that are supposed to be beneficial to my well being. I don't think it is the governments place to do so and interpreting the constitution to enact laws of personal opinion is just one of the many things wrong with our congress today. It's being a bit too LIBERAL with me freedom.

Polling data show that Mr. Obama's approval rating is dropping and is below where George W. Bush was in an analogous period in 2001. Rasmussen Reports data shows that Mr. Obama's net presidential approval rating -- which is calculated by subtracting the number who strongly disapprove from the number who strongly approve -- is just six, his lowest rating to date.

Does this mean that Bush didn't screw up the whole world, and the current problems are just a typical bubble that will settle out in short order? I wish the dems would make up their minds.

One of President Obama's economic advisers said Sunday that the economy is fundamentally sound, a striking reversal from the Democrat's campaign rhetoric as his administration now guides the nation's financial health amid dire conditions.

Just another ironic consequence from the "card check" bill:

If and when this radical change becomes law, and the 120 days are past, it'll be up to government-appointed arbitrators to decide any disagreements between labor and management -- even though the arbitrators won't be the ones who have to live with their decision. That burden would fall on workers and managers. Government would make the decision, all we the people would have to do is abide by it.
In Italy in an earlier decade, this approach to labor-management relations, which gives the state the final say, was part of a larger system. That system had a name: fascism. Somewhere, Benito Mussolini is smiling.

Of course, McCain merely wanted to make private insurance more affordable. Bambi just wants the bucks.

Some Americans having buyer's remorse?

American voters had embraced Mr. Obama not because of, but despite the policies he was signalling. They most certainly liked the man and his "temperament," and they most certainly wanted the Republicans out. But it did not follow that they wanted their government to lurch to the left.

keep on believing that propaganda! Do you REALLY think people like Obama less than Bush? or that they now wish they had voted for McCain? The longer repubs stay in their fantasy land the deeper the hole they will dig. Of COURSE the government is further to the left. How on earth could there be change and move further to the right? There wasnt much room in that direction.
You seem to imagine that people voting for Dems had no clue they were further to the left than Bush or McCain. I think they are not as stupid as that.
Keep it up!!!!!
