Of course, my earlier post quoted Franklin, another main founder, as saying he clearly did not believe in the divinity of Jesus.......so explain that one away when you get a chance.

Of course, he said you can believe it if it does you good:
""I see no harm, however, in its being believed, if that Belief has the good Consequence, as probably it has"

I feel the same way. But don't confuse your personal and private beliefs with the secular country the founders set up. If that happens, then the beliefs loses it's Good Consequence, as old Ben would have said.

Field Hockey?
Breasts?
Someone besides sailaway - please explain the joke.

Young female breasts? I'm afraid we might have a dirty old man lurking on the board......or, if it is Michelle, a dirty middle aged woman.

Brookline? Bureaucrat? I just don't get it......maybe you need filled in on my personal history.

Never lived anywhere near boston.
Always worked for myself in my own companies, those I founded and grew over many years or decades (3 in the current one)
Never worked for the government.
Still gainfully employed doing whatever I want.
Married 37+ years, 3 happy kids, dog, houses, cars, friends, family relationships, hobbies, sports, teaching (volunteer, mostly), etc.

Just trying to give you some hints for your next funnies so they can perhaps land closer to the mark.

Field hockey breasts from Brookline, eh? Funny....

I just realized.....after seeing the Coulter Banner at the top of the page, that this must be Coulter-type humor.

Personally, I prefer NY/NJ/Philly type myself.......or Sam Kinnison when I go to extremes.

Thanks to our caller on the masshole line from Brookline explaining the conspiracy theory on how the word "Creator" was inserted into the Declaration of Independence by the ancestors of Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. Next hour we'll have a grammarian and experts in linguistics from Philadelphia explain the significance of the capitalization of the word "Creator". Linguistics and Philadelphia; you don't see those two words collide often in a sentence. Personally I'm still reeling from the explanation of the conspiracy perpetrated by vast shadowy forces against the Declaration Of Independence and Tom Jeff. Caller on line two who says the source being cited by the caller from Brookline is a paralegal working out of a hut oceanside in Virginia Beach. Thank you caller, yes, we noticed that this small water surfer, you said paralegal?, did not explain how they actually ended up by saying Creator and that Jefferson must have agreed with it, but then, Jefferson was a deist. I'm not sure if they've still got those in Brookline or understand it's got nothing to do with the baby Jesus.

Next hour! Survey finds that 48% of atheists believe in God; what's up with that?

CONCLUSION

To sum what is known:

* The original version Jefferson wrote did not contain the word Creator.
* A copy that John Adams wrote in his own hand did not contain the word creator
* At some point after Jefferson wrote the original draft and before it was submitted to Congress it was changed to the wording with regards to creator that we know today
So it took a couple of drafts to come up with something they were all happy with then? Which is typically your better product, your first draft or the one you turn into your boss?

Well, since I'm the boss.........point remains that most of the founders did not use that word, it is unknown how it slipped in, and it was never intended to mean a single God in a christian sense. Your "Creator" is your mom and dad, their ancestors, the land that nourishes them, the DNA and cells, etc.

Based on ALL available evidence they did not mean pulled from the rib of Adam.

And, based on scholars - as you see above - we are not even supposed to be talking about this. The point is WE HAVE THOSE RIGHTS...and we agree on that. Simple.

Still confused about the brookline young hockey girls and their breasts. I guess I need audio of it to catch the delivery.....must be something there......or just a madman spouting Edgar Allan Poe chit....well, that makes him a evil genus madman, but mad in any case.

When no one can understand your slights, they aren't slights against anyone but yourself. Now, explain in clear english about those young hockey girl breasts.....please?

Then you can explain, John...please....

Humor and sarcasm must differ in various parts of the country, but I've never had hockey young girls with breasts pressing against me in the mix.......

what is your interpretation? I'm being honest - I just don't know. It might just be drivel, but it might mean something only he knows.
