Not exactly true. The government did not invent the Ponzi scheme; Ponzi did. Government does not have much of a history of inventing much of anything. I find little to argue with in the rest of your post.

The pain medicine is great. With that thought, I will cautiously post in the forbidden forum.

Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

Rush LOudmouth is a loser. SO is Bill O'Reilley. The Dem's have their share of LOSERS too. But the vision that Rush has for our country and how the GOP can come back (what was it he said, going back to their roots and sticking to their guns or some such nonsense??) will insure that the GOP watches from the sidelines for eternity. And in full disclosure, I have considerable respect for Powell.

Anyways, I figured this belonged here. For those that have listened to that screw ball Rush and think his vision is how to get your party back on track, I suggest a few more pills. If you run out, Rush can get you some. He is not called Rush for nothing.

So if you guys in the GOP want to get back in some sembelance of power again, I suggest standing up to Rush and tellhing him to SHUT UP.

quite true cdad, at one time i held rush in very high regard. now, i'm not so sure. the same with o'reilley and hannity. their rhetoric is getting old, old old. now someone whom i enjoy listening to today is neal boortz. catch him at boortz.com.

this guy calls'em as he sees'em. while claimimg to be a libertarian, like myself, his conservative views have a twist tha seems to keep me listening whether or not i like the topic. his work on the fair tax, of which i'm a supporter, has
helped gain popularity for this piece of legislation, and i think it could help restore this country to its former glory...........

huckabee's alright with me also.......

Aw horse-pucky. You haven't listened to ten minutes of Limbaugh in your life. I'll discount most of your balther here because I know you're on medication. You did sign your power of attorney over to your wife for the duration of the medication, correct? Imagine my shock if you sold the Catalina while under the influence of drugs. Of course, I shouldn't be surprised as that's the way I figure you bought her in the first place!

O'Reilly, like Dobbs, is hardly a conservative and we're not interested in Republicans whom are not conservative as they're of less use than the Democrats.

Powell, like non-conservative Republicans, is only a Republican because he chooses to say he is. He espouses little that comports with the party's platform, past or present. Frankly, no one would be talking about him were he just a retired general or former Sec. of State.

Don't worry about the Republicans getting back into power or Mr. Limbaugh. The mistake they made is exactly as Limbaugh stated, which lead to the country voting Democrat. If the country has a choice between a Democrat and a Republican acting like a Democrat, they'll choose the Democrat every time.

You should be far more concerned about your current Congress and President because at the rate they're implementing change, the Republicans might be able to run a drug addled Catalina owner from Texas and win next time out. The reps are going to come back to power absent what appeared to be a lot of necessary heavy-lifting a few months ago because the Dem's are acting just like Dem's and are going to do the work of electing Republican's for them.

CD...While Rush is a bag o' wind...his ideas are almost always correct and he speaks for conservatives quite well though I disagree with him on maybe 10% of what he says. O'Reilly is a populist blowhard and while he tends to espouse conservative positions...since those are populist...his only interest is in viewership and feeding his ego but I am THANKFUL there is a least ONE person on TV that isn't an Obamamaton.

As to your musings on the issues... the pain from your kidneys is nothing compared to the kick in your ass that is still coming in the economy. By 2012...people will vote for Bristol Palin before they vote for Obama again.
...and the 2010 elections will put an end to his ability to cram his socialist agenda through the Congress as even the Dems are starting to say "No Mas"!!

CD, for my money, I've always thought Rush and Howard Stern were about at the same level. You should of seen my grand dad's face when I told him that back in 01. The funniest part about Rush is how many democrats listen to him. The only guy I know who listens to Rush regularly is my father and he's been a democrat longer then I've existed. Of course the same goes for Stern. He gets a lot of calls from people who are conservatives and mad about such and such. Why would you listen to him?

Huckabee's ok, it doesn't take long for the baptist preacher in him to come out though. Then I find him a little to preachy for a politicion.

Rush, Hannity, and O'Rielly are useful idiots as far as the republican party is concerned. They can be depended on to rally to whatever cause you got. Beck is the question mark. I find him to dramatic but he's not a republican lacky. He started rooting for the libertarians in the last election.

Cam's right though. The dems aren't doing much of anything to fix the underlieing problems. Some of the reason the public has trended Democrat is that the reps continued to play kick the can with the deficits, entittlement reform, getting the fed out of schools.

If Obama thought heath insurance is a hot potato. Wait till he tries to deal with medicare and social security. They've still got to write the budget, and thats going to be a battle and a half. Earmarks are going to fly faster then ever.

The 2010 election is almost certainly going to republican. There are plenty who have buyer remorse and the big youth vote is not likely to bother showing up. It already been seen in the Georgia senate run off. The vote was so close that they had to hold a run off. The result of the run off was a 20 point lead for the rep.

2012 on the other hand is anybodies guess. There is plenty of time for all manner of thing to happen.
