Yes...We are irrational because we are concerned about the 100 trillion in already unfunded mandates and the prospect of creating a monster that would threaten everything this country ever aspired to be.
We have and are completely screwing future generations of Americans. I'm glad I won't be around to read the history of my generation.

I just recieved an interesting phone call
Another business owner here in town called me a few minutes ago to ask for my help and support in a project he's undertaking. It seems that his business has been hard hit due to the economy, and he's tired of the way things have been running in Washington and here in Kansas. He's inviting all small business owners from our county to his shop, along with all of our local, state and national politicians. Basically we are going to tell the politicians what the terms of their continued employment are going to be. He wants me to be on his committee that will be paring down what business owners in Johnson County KS want into a concise message.
I am looking forward to this, and encourage the rest of you to do the same.

i see some racists mixed in there, too......
those people obviously don't know what is right for them. they have no grasp of reality. they are not in touch. i think the government should take more of our money and give it to them....

Proves nothing but nicely edited video singling out the least articulate people they could find, which was exactly what they hoped for. You could call some of them uniformed, or even misinformed, and I'm sure there were some who are irrational, but the video doesn't work as stereotyping a "great many" as irrational. You can find wacko's in any large gathering, be it of the right or left.
I especially liked the "Do you think the Kennedy family would find the sign funny". I'm sure the Bork family didn't find much humor in Kennedy's total mischaracterization of Robert Bork.

No Jack, has nothing to do with denial. I don't deny there's wacko's on my side. I don't deny there's even racists on my side. Neither though, is exclusive to my side, which is why I don't pay much attention to gottcha journalism, by either side. (And I use the term journalism very loosely.)
Now if they want to put out the raw, unedited video they shot, then I might pay attention to it. Otherwise, it's worthless.
