This table is by state from the 2004 election. It shows that Republican states care more about "about their neighbor" that blue states.
If my neighbor needs a meal, let me reach into my pocket and buy him a meal. If the government sees my neighbor hungry, it will reach into my pocket and take enough for a feast and only fed him beans.

We beat the crap out of you guys in two elections running and the people clearly like us better than they like you.
Howard Sterns did a piece a while back where they interviewed Obama supporters. They attributed McCain's prolife and Iraq war positions to Obama and asked if the voter approved. They did.
