Most religious texts are so full of holes I can't believe any one would believe anything they say. The mormons used to claim there was people living on the moon dressed as quakers.
That is what makes the bible different than any other book. Even my sophmore level physics book has errors that they believed to be true at the time 8 years ago that they no longer believe to be true.
With respect to you sir, I do not believe that you have studied the bible.

I just googled "bible fallacies" and a bunch of stuff turned up. Check out
Bible Blunders. I'm sure at least one of their points is correct, proving that the Bible is not 100% true. I think wind_magic's position is the most reasonable. That the Bible has errors, but it doesn't affect the overall message.
I mean, think about it. The "Bible" is not a single book. It is composed of stories, poems, essays, letters, etc. written by many people over a long period of time in a variety of languages. Some of the parts of the Bible are themselves histories written by people after the fact, writing as historians. So how can you expect 100% accuracy through all of this? Are you telling me, that NOTHING is incorrect in the Bible? There are NO predictions or prophecies that did not come true? That EVERY person that contributed EVERY word and EVERY translator of EVERY word of EVERY version was so well-managed by God himself that not a single untrue or inaccurate word remains? Come on.
Hermit, I appreciate your dedication, but not even a pastor or a priest will admit that the Bible is not without SOME flaws. It was written by MAN regardless of whether or not you believe that God exists and inspired the Bible's creation.
And besides, how do you explain the books that are present in SOME Bibles? The Catholic Bible has more books than Protestant Bibles. The Catholics believe that their extra books are just as holy as the other ones. If that is God's word, 100% true, etc., then why have the Protestants omitted them? Should God be edited?
