Government Layoffs

Only Oregon in the eighties had laid off state employees in all of the state's departments. But usually it is the school's art & music teachers that are laid off and a few librarians and throw in a janitor or two...
But it noticed that the Feds and the states haven't reduced their own employee population at all. We could start with congress. Do we really need all of those congressmen & senators?? 99% are yes men/women for their parties and are pure deadwood. And do this in the state capitals also... reduce their representatives also. Now that would be a great start...removing all of the deadwood in government, now that would be a good start.

its against the law to get rid of a government employee all they can do is not hire someone who is let go.

Apparently, you have not read the Constitution lately. Complex issues don't usually lend themselves to overly-simple solutions...

and they wont under the osama office in fact it has grown almost 100% already, while he tells you to tighten your belt.

Here is my question

Who is going to fund the Teachers, Cops, Firefighters, and the fake inflation osama is causing after the stim money is gone. Its government money right, WRONG its your money

lets see they will raise taxes to pay for the stim package (1 and 2) then after the money is gone they will have to raise taxes on the state level to pay for the new programs that the stim package created then after you think you cant get raped any more they will have to raise taxes on the local level cause they will have to get their piece of the pie.

that's what I call stimulus, and yet libs think taxes are good. how in the hell does this stimulate the economy.

think about it just how much do you want to pay for this stim package. tell you state government to reject it. voice your opinion!

Don't know the basis for the first statement about 100% growth in Fed employment but the OPM's numbers indicate Fed staffing levels have remained relatively constant over the last decade.

As far as voicing opinion, the majority just did that in electing Democrats to run the country based primarily on economic considerations.

Yea these are the same people that keep thinking the government can actually "fix" anything.
