Impeach Camaraderie and others

This is the "rave about anything" thread. I watched Camaraderie try in vain to keep folks on topic in another thread, and realized that irrespective of heading someone will go bush.
So, I shall keep on track from the start and announce that this thread is not about impeaching Camaraderie. It is about any goofy gripe you may have. Ideally, every response should also take off on a tangent. This is the thread you have been hoping for.

Any takers?
I'll kick off with: USA should change over to driving on the left side of the road. It would be a great boost to employment, with new highway exits, car designs and driving schools, buses must move doors to the opposite side. It would make European vehicle imports more expensive and help exports to Japan, and it would show solidarity with the Brits. It would get rid of an aging population when pensioners can't get used to it and are run over.

Make sure to reply with something entirely different - all except gun control - we deal with that adequately under "Economics", "Religion", "Cruising" and probably under "Best canned meat for the Caribbean."

If only we armed those in grade school, then when a shooter came in with his daddys gun, another kid could shoot him before he shot teacher and other kids.

Lightbulb Make Groundhog Day an official holiday

Face it: By early February most of us could use a respite from winter, and making it a federal holiday could encourage everybody to Get Out of Their Burrows and engage with each other socially. Suspending sales tax on bar tabs for the day would help the economy, too! (Texans [and Northwestern Univ students] could be allowed to substitute armadillos.)

A feral holiday! That's a fantastic idea.

I. for one, have been spending BIG money on a regular basis, and instead of feeling guilty (which it usually would make me do), I now actually feel GOOD about it. I bought a NEW sailboat, a NEW coastal house, lots of NEW furniture and also a lot of travel and other stuff. I'm tipping REALLY big......because I look at it this way - that extra couple bucks is not gonna break me, but it is gonna help the person getting it A LOT.

So I've started the spring party already. Bush was right about going shopping after 9/11.....well, actually he was not. BUT, he would be right if he said it in 2008 instead.

I was gonna buy a bunch of guns and ammo, but I heard that those industries were doing just fine, so I'll hold off and get a better deal when folks discover that the country will still exist in a few months.

Someone will pass away today, that's for sure.....

But, in the scheme of things, more people will be born.
