That seems to be a tendency of a large proportion of mankind. Either they worship them, or shake in their boots at them (and so obey them).
Well, it didn't work out too well for Greenspan, who actually hobnobbed with the great one.
While her theories have come to be known as Objectivism, I would more classify them as "Corporate Power". Unfortunately, the word "Corporatism" has already been hijacked and given the wrong meaning.....
But what I mean by corporate power or the slang use of corporatism is:
"Contemporary popular (as opposed to social science) usage of the term is more pejorative, emphasizing the role of business corporations in government decision-making at the expense of the public. The power of business to affect government legislation through lobbying and other avenues of influence in order to promote their interests is usually seen as detrimental to those of the public"
Of course, Ayn or Ann or whatever her name is would argue that the interest of the powerful and business is ALWAYS beneficial to the interest of the public.....or do I have that wrong?
Well, to be honest I could not make it through her books......not exactly gripping prose.
