craigimass is on a distinguished road
Ah, the Wall Street Journal (Owned by one and the same Fox News)....

Now that is reporting.......

Nah, I'm not scared. I'm happy. Happy that folks think it is important to get involved. Hopefully next time they won't let a corporate lobbyist and a billionaire organize events for them....maybe they will figure out what they really want to say and do and then do it themselves....

Now if you'll pardon me, I have to go a Palestinian liberation rally with a side of Free Mumia Jamal and maybe some folks who will trash Starbucks. I'm certain you'll be very concerned about my attendance.

Jack - and you say I'm ad hominem? Or do you have some proof of the inaccuracy of the cited article?

The title of this thread is a perfect example of an ad homimen attack, since the only ones using the term teabagging are those opposed, dismissive, or otherwise negative to, as the organizers call them, tea parties. A fact that has apparently escaped your notice.

Perhaps the Chicago Tribune would be a more acceptable source:

Tax Day fix requires more than 'tea parties' -- chicagotribune.com

Oh yeah!!??? Well here's a pic of O'Reilliey's truest fan and understands everything he says (my son... I am so proud of him!!) He even dropped his truck to pay attention. He doesn't like Lim-barff, he is too boring:

And then, Obama came out with his Tarp plan. My other son... he thought highly of it:

But we wanted to start our children off in politics at an early age. First, we sat down with them and discused it in length. It took almost 3 seconds. Chase understood:

But the whole right and left was very hard to get at first. It took several practices until he mastered it with his mom:

But now it was time to get serious. We took out our oldest and explained to him how you fish for votes:

Then when elections came, I never left the television. I was a patron.

Then Obama won... we celebrated (well, maybe a little early):

The Republicans were mad. They wanted to fight. The democrats wouldn't turn down a good fight either. Thus, we got after it:

But now it is a new day, kiss and make up:

For the most important lesson of all is to rmember that we are all brothers - even if one is a democrat and one is a Republican:

And each of us on this forum has a common tie that goes beyond politics and governments and religon. We are sailors. And we are alltogether a super group of people... even if some have more BBQ grills than others.

I love how you use real life examples to teach your kids. The fish was superb!!

What better way to teach your kids that voting for Obama is like kissing a fish...
It's a CHANGE...but one that leaves you unable to stand the stench, feeling slimey and deceived by the pretty colors.

I made a factual statement. I leave the inference to others.

I do question this statement:

Quote:
So who's behind the Tax Day tea parties? Ordinary folks who are using the power of the Internet to organize.
I do not get Fox news. But I saw enough clips tp convince that that the whole thing really is "astroturf." i.e., artificial grassroots, if you prefer.

I do not know the source of the "teabag" phrase as it applies to April 15.

I do sense that there is willingness to use rather strong language, like socialist, fascist, etc..

I can't help but wonder if the concept of "tipping point" may be too esoteric for some who ascribe a "johnny-come-lately" dismissal to the tea party events?

In that you said the WSJ is owned by Murdoch, you were indeed being factual. Unlike my post that you call ad hominem though, you use the identity of the messenger to disparage the message, as it gave the clear impression that the article was misleading, not for what it said, but because of who owned the platform on which it was said.

That's okay though, because I'm quite content to leave the inference to the readers of your post.
