April 15th Dinner Menu

Pork pot pie, of course. Unlike DC, my pork was leftover, and already paid for.

Homemade Garlic-Parsely fettuccine, with pesto.
Paid my taxes happily (thanks to economy I don't owe much) a couple days ago. Plenty left over...

Our individual share of the national debt stands at $36,523 today. Woohoo!

Heck, I can pay that in a few months.......no problem, man
(in fact, some years I DO pay that in a few months)

As we hippies used to say "it's only green energy, man"....don't take it seriously!

Or was it "dope can get you though times of no money, but money can't get your through times of no dope".......ah, I forget, but the hippies said something about money.......

"Can't buy me love, oh"
or
"Gimme money, that's what I want".....

Oh, it was too long ago now.......

Happily paid your taxes? Enjoyed your root canal?
Good, America needs more fools.
I suspect you're just being silly.

Actually, root canals are over rated as far as pain. I have had 3 or 4, and - as with taxes - the results have been positive.

Then again, I was only figuring on ONE persons share of the national debt. I still have two in the family (wife and I), so I suppose I owe double that.

Seriously, I have no problems with taxes. I do get frustrated for maybe one day a year after doing the paperwork, and I really dislike my accountants bill, which would buy a nice sailboat each year.

So, yeah, I'd be in support of a simplified system - but I have another angle which, luckily, I can now pursue (kids though college). It is simply making less money and therefore owing less to both the accountant and the government.

Now, if we want to talk about unpleasant things - or at least what I consider so - it is flying cross country in a crowded southwest plane (737, too damn small for that long of a flight).
