What's your opinion of Sarah Palin?
Not overall opinion but her quiting her Governership of Alaska. On that one act how do you feel? If you are a consertative and/or a Palin suporter what's your take on that one act?
I'll start out by telling you how I feel.
She said a lame duck is like old fish and should be disposed of right away. Huh. I'd think a lame duck could get a lot more done (for the people who elected him/her) if they stayed in office. With no pretext to re-election a lame duck can be more independent, more rogue (if you will) and less accountable as re-election isn't an issue. I think she craped all over the people who elected her to office and abandoned them with little concern.
What do you think?

I was raised with the saying that if you don't have anything nice to say about someone, then it is best to not say anything. I think based on her final actions as governor of Alaska [not to mention during the campaign] that she is a ----------- and should be ----------- ! Just my opinion.

I'll take the bait, I like her. I'm not sure I want to see her as the nominee but that's a long way off. I also think people like you are missing the point that this isn't really about her, it's about conservatism. You probably wouldn't understand it. Maybe you should go have a love fest for Obama and Obamacare.
You said, "I think she craped all over the people who elected her to office and abandoned them with little concern."
Have you been following what the current administration is doing??? Wake up!

Dirtyboy, I'm surprised you are from Florida, the last few serious Democrats we've had through were from Mass or NJ, NY, or from the west coast stronghold. I didn't know Florida has such champions of the Democratic party.

Since you base your question on her resigning, one could easily ask, what's the difference in quitting as Governor to quitting as a Senator? Is it somehow "better" or "right", to give up one political office for another, then to simply give up the office?
I see little difference between the two, IF, your rationale is, going back on the implicit "promise" to serve those who voted for you for the full term to which you are elected.
And let's look at the flip side of the coin, assuming Palin intends to run for President in 2012. Compare that to Obama and Clinton. How much time do you think they really devoted to their Senatorial duties while they spent basically two years running for Prez? I doubt they did anything as Senators, that wasn't in pursuit of being President.

And lets not forget either, when Palin resigned, there was a designated replacement who was in line with her policies, as opposed to the numerous elected officials who quit to be part of the Obama team, whose replacements were, for the most part, unelected, as opposed to Sean Parnell (Lt Gov) who at least was elected. Burris for Obama? I'm sure the people of Illinois were thrilled with that.
So who really abandoned the people that elected them?

I think to many, she's probably just a "typical white person" who "clings to guns or religion".
I have relatives up in Alaska. They like her.

Can't vote for her but I like her. Not sure I would want her to have any power or influence but she is likable.
