I watched that episode of J,S., and disagree with Cain's assessment that he was made fun of because he was black. He was made fun of because he is a conservative. BTW, I missed the part of the article where he said that he should be exempt from satire.

Actually, he was made fun of because he made a stupid claim regarding the length of laws he would support. Had he mentioned that he would not support unrelated riders of similar abuses of process, he might actually have garnered some respect (not in comedy, just in general). Instead he over-simplified the problem to laws being "too long" and then set an arbitrary limit on what is acceptable (ignoring the fact, as J.S. pointed out, that some laws & treaties need to be long if they seek to cover the changes being proposed).

Now, do you think that Cain is "playing the race card" or is it somehow different when a Republican claims something is because they are black? Honest question, as you at least acknowledged the fact Cain was barking up the wrong tree.

Nope. He was the target of Mr. Stewart's satire because he was acting like a clown (that is, if it is an act)

Stewart satirized Pizza-man's "I can't read anything longer than three pages" schtick; then Pizza-man whined that Stewart satirized him because he's black. So, turning to page four, it's a pretty safe deduction that Pizza-man thinks he shouldn't be satirized because he's black. You may note that my logic never came close to being water-boarded, tossed on the rack, or made to listen to endless Barry Manilow tracks (the horror, the horror!!!).
