He'll need to clarify that one. If they write a law that specifically allows rejection of buildings based on religious grounds, he is directly going against the Constitution. I can't see how people can get the right otherwise (they already have laws allowing them to reject buildings based on zoning, safety, etc), but you never know. After all, Cain seems to think the "race card" is only applies if referring to your race whilst being left-wing in your ideals

Personally, I think the guy is now playing the demagogue because his campaign is faltering. There is only so long you can use the underdog status before people start questioning why you weren't popular in the first place. When you run out of that, you need to actually show reasons to be considered (rather than let people make them up for themselves). And, predictably, Cain is rabble-rousing rather than outlining real policy.

Romney still looks like the best candidate in terms of accomplishment (whether I agree with the accomplishment or not) and it is sad that 1-in-5 people cannot even consider the man because of his religion.

Any bets on how many of Cain's fellow members of the Clown Brigade publicly condemn him for his latest bigoted blather? (I have dibs on zero.)

Oh, that's not the kind of thing that a Republican actually wanting to win the primary complains about SBS. Stand up for the Muslims and you immediately lose the Christian lobby group support. Of course, you lose anyone that really believes in the right of religious freedom but that's what the general election campaign is for... pretending the fringe positions you took in the primary campaign "were taken out of context"

If ya hadn't noticed Woulda, SBS pretty much avoids any thread where he can't ridicule and call someone names ..... at least as long as they're Republicans. Like most of the press, he ignored that brilliant piece of rhetoric out of Washington where the most intelligent and articulate President in history brilliantly chided Eric Cantor not to call his bluff. Imagine if Palin or Bachmann had uttered such an inanity. The howls of laughter would still be echoing.

That's right, change the topic. Anything to avoid dealing with the bigotry of the current crop of GOP candidates. It would seem that the GOP's notion of a "Big Tent" is to let anyone in who likes the idea of discriminating against Muslims, Gays, or undocumented workers. A few years ago, one could have included Chinese and French folks on that list, but GOP rhetoric targeting those groups seems to have petered out; for the moment at least.

First you didn't address your own "topic", you did your usual Dr Flyby thing.

Second, what are you referring to when you claim people who are here illegally are being discriminated against? Surely, you're not advocating that local police not ask for ID whenever they deal with illegals, are you?
