It's a shame the Norway thing....
.. turned out to be a crazy christian right winger who quoted many right wingers right here in America in his manifesto, and did what he did based on crazy right wing ideology, the likes of which can be found on Fox News and AM talk radio every hour of every day...
Had it been a scary mooslim, we could have had a whole long thread about it.
Bummer.

Yes, it is a shame. What I find even more troubling is the fact, that this mentally deranged persons actions are being interpreted as a "crazy christian right wingers" deed who watched too much Fox news.

In the immediate aftermath of the story, when on-line accounts thought the attack was Islamo-terrorism driven, they speculated that Norway's involvement in NATO/Afghanistan was to blame.
Now that more is known, Islamophobia and angry rhetoric is blamed.

The reference to Tucson was the thread about it, created by the OP here. Same rush to judgment, same villain. Even the loss of one life is a tragedy, to use it to score political points is simply unconscionable.

Sure sounds like he considers himself Christian, and acting in defense of Christianity, to me. Now, some may say, "He's not really a Christian", or some-such. But, most Muslims don't consider al Qaeda to be "true Muslims" either; a view which seems to me rejected by the WRW.
