Pretty sure that stating that the UN is choosing "to be following Satan as their leader" is not something that you can factually claim to be the meaning of the scripture in question. You might interpret it that way, but there are a plenty of Christians (let alone people from other faiths) that would strongly disagree with you.

I'm not wrong that I read that about the Romans, that's what I read. Perhaps what I read was right, perhaps not, perhaps we can't be sure.

You might be right about reading it, but you'd be wrong in claiming "You had to be responsible and protect society to have the honor of voting. No goof offs voting for "bread and circuses"."
Oh, and we can be pretty sure of how the Romans & Athenians ran their governments - they avidly documented it, the reasons for it, and how said government worked out in practise. It makes for good reading if you are actually interested in following it up.
To sum up succinctly though, Romans didn't need to carry a sword to vote. There is ample documentation on the matter to prove a claim they did false. Points using said claim as a foundation need to be rethought

Oh, by the way, I've never heard anything about the UN from any "religious right". My own observations when as a youth I saw the statue in NY city. Pretty sure there was no such thing as a "religious right" way way way back then. I don't bother following junk like this, but I do think for myself, and quite clearly.

If you haven't heard of the UN conspiracies from the "religious right", you've been quite sheltered from them. Count it as a blessing, cos over-exposure lowers one's hope ini humanity

Probably won't bother with this thread again, people seem too wound up and sure of themselves.
